Artist Statement:

Hi!  Thanks for looking at my photography website!  I hope you enjoy my work.  As you can see, I love nature and the outdoors.  I have always enjoyed hiking and photography.   My goal is to capture God’s creation to display his handiwork for the world to see in it’s purest beauty:  Nature.   I specialize in capturing dramatic light and conditions in the rugged, ancient, and majestic Appalachian Mountains of Virginia and North Carolina.

As a photographer, I find great joy in witnessing the beauty of God’s creation in the natural and majestic scenes he creates.  In fact, that’s what my life is all about.  God is working in my life and creating a beautiful picture of His beauty and grace in the nature I photograph, as well as in me, my family, and my church.  Make no mistake, I worship the Creator and not the creation.  I believe that Jesus Christ made the world and it exists for His glory and pleasure.  I am thankful that my Lord Jesus loved me in such a way that He would come and live a perfect life, die on the cross in my place for my sins, and rise again to give me everlasting life.  God is creating a beautiful image in my life, and I am just here to capture it.  I am like a camera, capturing the beauty and grace of God.  So, when you look at my images, know that they are not my images, but the art of an awesome Creator, Sustainer, and Savior.  He did all the work and “painted the picture,” I just captured it, just like his work in my life.  “For it by grace you are saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, and not by works, lest anyone should boast.  For we are his workmanship…”  Ephesians 2:8-10
